Last week's class was insightful to me in regards to maintaining and building an online identity. I was unaware of the impact that updating your Linkedin and Twitter accounts played on your online identity. While I was aware of the impact Facebook, I thought the other two were not as important. Obviously, I was wrong!!!!
I found an article in Forbes Magazine and it stated that your online identity is what Google says it is. I found that to be a very profound statement. When a search is done with your name, you must be aware of what is associated with it - pictures, comment, and etc. The article gave some tips on how to increase visiblity for desired purposes. As Deborah stated last week, it is important to see what is associated with your name. We must manipulate the subjects and themes of our posts, to improve our brand in target areas.

This article and class made me rethink my approach to job searching.... I will be making some changes to my Linkedin account in the coming week.
